Former Apple director rejoins Intel to make 'groundbreaking' chips

Former Apple manager Jeff Wilcox has returned to Intel to piece of work on SoCs. Wilcox has already begun his part as an Intel Beau at the Design Engineering Group covering customer SoC architecture. He announced his new function on LinkedIn two weeks after announcing his deviation from Apple.

Wilcox has over 25 years in the industry, including an eight-twelvemonth stint at Apple in which he oversaw the transition to the company's own Silicon. The move marks a return to Intel for Wilcox, who worked at the visitor every bit a principal engineer from October 2022-Nov 2022. He as well previously worked at NVIDIA as a principal architect and Magnum as a principal engineer.
